MITO HABE-EVANS //
I love clever ideas carried out in beautiful ways, especially lo-fi ways. This is a blog of everything I'm jealous of not making myself, of ideas I wish I had, and I guess some things I've made too.

Holy moly. This thread art installation must have taken forever.
Plexus no. 19, Thread Art Installation by Gabriel Dawe

I love the idea of augmenting paintings with projections, and this installation takes it to the next level with 3D structures. I wish I could go see it!
This weekend I saw the greatest art installation ever. Seriously. And I’ve seen a lot of cool installations but this one takes the cake! This thing needs to end up in the MCA or AI’s new wing.
The physical installation is intriguing and full of interesting + thoughtful elements. Add the layers of brilliant video + audio elements and you have the most engaging piece of art I have seen in a long time.
The details (because you MUST go see this thing) -

Surround sound installation with synchronized florescent tubes. This would be cool to stand in the middle of, but the video does a good job with the sound if you wear headphones.
